Jim Scott, RIP
We received the following sad news:
SCOTT, James Reid
1951-2014
At Vaudreuil-Soulanges (Hudson) Palliative Care, after a long and brave fight, James left us on September 7, 2014 at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Karen Burrows. Loving brother of Bill (Louise) and the late John. Loving nephew of Richard and Mona Hadley. He will also be missed by many friends and colleagues. Family will receive condolences at: Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boul. Des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Qc, (514-685-3344).
The visitation will be Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 1 to 5 pm. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10 am in the Rideau Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations to Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence or the World Animal Protection Society or SPCA would be appreciated. “;
It’s a non-denominational service, and we’ve asked any of his friends who wish to say a few words about JR to do so, figuring that will be a wonderful and meaningful tribute.
Good ol’ Uncle Jim,
Got me running his Princess locomotive when I was all of about 5-6 years old back in 1982-’83 or thereabouts. I was surprised to stumble across this post when I was searching for WLS on Google, just randomly wondering what state Waushakum was in 🙂
Rest in Peace UJ.
Your nephew,
Ian
Hi Ian, WLS is in Massachusetts.
Thanks, I found it on Google but have never been there. Strictly Montreal Live Steamers for me, since I was a little kid 40 years ago 🙂
