Robert E. Fahey, brother of Pat Fahey
Mr. Robert E. Fahey, 66, of Medway MA, died Monday morning (November 1, 2010) at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Marsha (Bullukian) Fahey.
Mr. Fahey was born in Milford, the son of the late John and the late Emily (Ghelli) Fahey. He attended the former Sacred Heart Grammar School as a young boy and Milford public schools.
Mr. Fahey was first employed as a young man as a mason contractor for Joe Menardi Masonry. He later worked for Anchor Freight Company and again as a mason at the Perini Corporation located in Framingham MA. Following that he had been employed for Walter E. Jock Oil Company located in Wells River VT and then returned to Milford where he owned and operated Prime Petroleum for twelve years. He later owned and operated Player’s Bar which was located in Milford and worked as a contractor building houses in the greater Milford area.
Mr. Fahey was a Viet Nam era veteran having served in the US Army in Germany. He was a longtime member of the Italian-American Veterans Post of Milford.
Along with his wife of thirty-six years, he is survived by 1 Son: Christopher R. Fahey and his wife Corinne of Medway MA, 1 Granddaughter: Ava Fahey of Medway MA, 2 Brothers: John “Johnny” Fahey and his wife Charlene of Milford MA and Patrick Fahey of Milford MA; also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Services on Thursday (November 4th) at 10am at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford MA. In accordance with his wishes cremation will follow. Visiting hours will be Wednesday evening from 5pm to 8pm at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home.
